KTT 1954 - Kursus Tekstil Tinggi

Along with the growth of the textile industry and the development of machine looms, a higher level of education is needed. This need is one of the backgrounds for the establishment of Kursus Tekstil Tinggi (KTT) as well as the forerunner of textile higher education in Indonesia. Led by Ir. H. R. Safioen, the Summit which was founded on August 1, 1954 practically replaced the Bedrifsleider Cursus. Ir. H. R. Safioen is a textile graduate from India who later became Director General of Textile Industry.
